People ask us "are you excited to go 'home'?" It's an interesting question for us as we will miss our students and the activity that is happening here. But we are also excited to see friends and family and talk with people about what Dad is doing around the world. But the further we are removed from our 'home', the more we are reminded that this earth is not our place of comfortable residence. Piper reminded us a few weeks ago that "Life is War and He is Sovereign." It was a perfect reminder as it is so easy to accept life's comforts and slip into a peacetime mentality. Whether Stateside or around the world, we are to be ready and able.

Most of our students are ready to accept the suffering that comes with being faithful. It's a great encouragement as we settle in for the summer...not to grow lazy, not to conform and not to rest in being in the world that makes us physically comfortable.
